Detailed itinerary:
Departing Maun in the early morning we take a 3 hour drive to arrive at the Moremi Game Reserve. Moremi Game Reserve is situated in the Okavango Delta, comprising of permanent and seasonally swamped areas and dry land. It is a very beautiful region with lagoons, pools and rivers. Wide grasslands, cool tall Mopane forests, lush riverine woodlands and acacia savanna provide a home for an enormous variety of wildlife.
For the best game viewing we use custom built open safari vehicles. Where possible we use HATAB sites for camping, these sites are private to your group and are set out in the bush amongst the animals, they are not fenced.
On the 2 day safari we will enjoy a morning game drive in Moremi and have lunch back at the campsite before departing back to Maun with arrival there in the late afternoon.
On the 3 day safari we will have a full day of game viewing on day 2 which usually comprises a morning and afternoon game drive with time for lunch and a siesta during the heat of the day. On day 3 we enjoy a morning game drive arriving back at camp for lunch before packing up and returning to Maun in the late afternoon.
Pack lightly in a soft bag (one per person). Wear t-shirts, shorts and a sweatshirt for summer months (neutral shades are good) and t-shirts, a jacket and long trousers for winter. Useful items are binoculars, sun cream and mosquito repellent.
